All of our projects exist because of the many hours of dedicated work by volunteers. If you would like to participate in our efforts to get PB’s beautiful Ideas out into the world, please consider volunteering your time and/or money. Contact us at

Current Projects:
1. Archiving – Preservation:
Part of the PBPF’s mission is to preserve all of the items and works of PB as best as possible. In the short-term, we are archiving PB’s works both in their original form on paper and digitally. PB’s items are safely stored so that they can be catalogued with the known information about each item and so that they can, at some point, be made available to the public.

2. Publishing, Republishing, & Editing PB's Books & Materials:
The PBPF has recently secured the rights to all but one of the early PB books, and we are planning to publish those using a “Print On Demand” format in order to keep the works in print at a reasonable price. While they are all currently available through used bookstores, these copies are aging, and many people prefer to start out with their own copy, especially when undertaking a careful study of one of these remarkable books. With “seed money” we can create a small supply of these texts, whose sales should obviate a need for further donations.
We are currently planning to print a definitive edition of the Wisdom of the Overself. It will contain all changes and corrections made by Paul Brunton before his death as well as quotes from the Notebooks that refer to the Wisdom.
We also want to enable the printing of new material from the unpublished writings of Paul Brunton and to encourage the work of new authors so that the Ideas are kept alive and his vision continues into the future. Read more: Publishing, Republishing, & Editing Books & Materials Project >>
3. PBPF Book Gift Project:
The “PBPF Gift Project” was started in 1985 as The World Library Gift Project. We have recently renamed it and changed our direction from sending books to largely public libraries to giving them as gifts to spiritual study centers, philosophic centers, specialized libraries and to other groups around the world with an interest in philosophic matters who will agree to keep the books in circulation. It is our hope to make PB’s wisdom widely available for serious students, searching for the Truth. Read More: PBPF Book Gift Project >>
4. The Prison Gift Project:
The Prison Gift Project is funded entirely by donations, which have allowed the Foundation to send as many as 50 Paul Brunton Books a week—free of charge—to incarcerated men and women at their request. Interest in these books is high and increasing, with literally thousands of prisoners participating.

5. Website:
Our original site went online in 1996. We have worked hard to launch this newly designed site with more content and features. Although it is a new design with some new content, there are many more features, much more content, and better functionality, that we would like to add in the near future. This newly designed website has been developed primarily with volunteer efforts; at this point we will need additional funding to help us achieve even greater website goals.

6. Philosophic Spiritual Communities:
The PBPF seeks to develop local and international networks with other spiritual communities as consistent with PB ideas and ideals. If you know of groups that we should be connected to, are part of a PB study group yourself, or want to connect with others, email us at information@paulbrunton.org. Past Projects
1.
Plotinus Reprint:
One of the most successful non-PB publications we have supported in the past years is the carefully created edition of MacKenna’s translation of Plotinus’
Enneads. The PBPF includes Plotinus in its booklist because it was one of the last books PB himself was studying in his final years, and because of its great significance in the development of Anthony Damiani’s visionary
Astronoeisis. It continues to be in demand, and we plan to keep it in print.
2. Philosophic Spiritual Community:
In an effort to join with other international spiritual communities, consistent with PB’s ideas and ideals, PBPF participated in raising funds for a project created by Fraternidade International Humanitarian Federation. This is a Brazilian spiritual group where PB is highly respected and widely read. Their project was to make spiritual literature available in Portuguese-speaking regions of Africa. The PBPF board was excited to participate in this project and helped raise funds to pay for the production cost of the PB books (already translated into Portuguese) that were distributed into Africa.
3. World Library Gift Project:
We learned in 1985 that few libraries are still intellectual or spiritual leaders in their community; most have tiny budgets that go up or down annually in direct proportion to how many books are taken out by patrons. So it is in the interest of these libraries' survival to buy more copies of what is popular, rather than a broad selection of what may have lasting value. This also means that in order to make more room for popular books, they often clear out older, less frequently borrowed classics. We wanted to see more of Paul Brunton's works donated to libraries around the world and many books were sent out under this program. The decision was made however, to concentrate on spiritual and philosophic study centers and the project was continued in this direction under a new name, PBPF Book Gift Program.
