Paul Brunton Philosophic Foundation
4936 NYS Route 414
Burdett, New York 14818

The Foundation is headquartered in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, where the original writings and photographs of Paul Brunton are housed.
Not only is the area known for the beautiful lakes and wineries of growing fame, but the area has a long history of attracting serious researchers into the esoteric and spiritual mysteries. His Holiness Shankaracharya, the spiritual head of South India, sent his personal secretary T.M.P. Mahadevan to Cornell University in nearby Ithaca to teach Indian philosophy, during which time he also established a large collection of Hindu Philosophy books at Olin Library. The Goldwyn Smith library at Cornell University has one of the largest collections of alchemy, including the original papers of Robert Fludd. Goldwyn Smith and Ezra Cornell were acquainted with H.P. Blavatsky who also stayed in the area in 1875. In the mid-1960s PB’s student Anthony Damiani moved to this region, opened the American Brahman Bookstore in Ithaca, NY and soon after founded Wisdom’s Goldenrod, where PB visited and met with Anthony’s students—many of whom ended up working on his posthumous publications some years later.
Wisdom’s Goldenrod is a philosophic study/meditation center in the Fingerlakes region and features a beautiful library and small retreat facilities. It was created in 1972 by Anthony Damiani, and his students were very active in constructing the four buildings on the property in Hector, NY. Members of Wisdom’s Goldenrod serve on the PBPF. Please visit their website to discover more about their programs.
