To this there is the reply that once again we may call on the help of dreams to illustrate a difficult point: the tiger which mauls you in a dream is admittedly an idea. Both tiger and bomb are vividly present to your mind--but both are mental. How is it that sensations of pain in an amputated foot still occur although the external material foot is no longer there? In both cases we are clearly dealing with workings of the mind. That is undeniable.
