It is not at all necessary to learn how we lived in past lives in order to know how best to live in this one. Such knowledge might be useful but it also might be quite dangerous. It could lead to attempts to evade what is coming to us as a consequence of what we have done before. Such evasion could rob us of a chance to learn the lessons of that experience, while the attempts to gain this knowledge could itself lead to psychism.
